Hotel Noah Ark In Chengdu Hotel
Hotel Noah Ark in Chengdu Hotel is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement that masterfully integrates oriental traditions with contemporary aesthetics, situated in Chengdu, China. Completed in February 2018, this 28,000-square-meter hospitality project, designed by Tao Huang and Zhihong Li, draws inspiration from the biblical Noah's Ark narrative to create a peaceful sanctuary within the urban landscape. The design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious blend of ancient Chinese cultural elements with modern architectural sensibilities, featuring a lobby that showcases traditional Chinese wooden structural elements refined into clean, orderly forms that establish a magnificent atmosphere. The hotel's distinctive design incorporates sophisticated material selections, including time-honored bronze metal craftsmanship and abstract art installations that interpret oriental artistic concepts, particularly evident in the sandy background wall that depicts impressionistic mountain and river contours enhanced by warm lighting. The interior spaces prioritize the connection between guests and nature, utilizing elegant wood furnishings and a gentle, steady color palette to create a tranquil environment that offers respite from urban intensity. The project, which commenced in September 2016, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its spatial organization, material selection, and aesthetic execution, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its innovative approach to hospitality design. The hotel's design successfully creates an immersive luxury experience while maintaining cultural authenticity, featuring ingenious details that transform ancient spiritual elements into contemporary expressions of vitality.
