Horng Shan House Residental Interior

Horng Shan House Residental Interior

Horng Shan House Residental Interior is an award-winning residential design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of modernist principles and contemporary minimalist poetry in architectural space. The interior design scheme, conceived and executed by designer Sheng-Tien Hung, showcases an innovative application of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) to create flowing, curved ceiling forms and wall surfaces that evoke poetic melodies in their visual rhythm. The space is distinguished by its sophisticated integration of natural light through expansive windows, which work in concert with the architectural elements to create a warm, modern aesthetic environment. The design's conceptual framework responds thoughtfully to the needs of its inhabitants, a family of four with intellectual pursuits, particularly emphasizing reading and innovation. The interior's material palette is notably enhanced by modular cabinetry finished in Morandi blue and pink tones, introducing an elegant and refined chromatic dimension to the space. The technical mastery demonstrated in the project is particularly evident in the challenging implementation of UHPC, which requires precise timing and expertise during the construction phase to achieve its characteristic strength of 17,000 pounds per square inch (120 MPa) and optimal durability. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in residential interior architecture, successfully balancing aesthetic sophistication with functional practicality while incorporating sustainable design principles and innovative material applications.
