Hongyang Kaisa Riverside Mansion Sales Center

Hongyang Kaisa Riverside Mansion Sales Center

Hongyang Kaisa Riverside Mansion Sales Center is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement that masterfully blends traditional Chinese philosophy with contemporary design elements, located in Nanjing, China. Completed in November 2019, this 697-square-meter space embodies the profound concept of Four Waters Returning to the Hall, where the innovative roof design channels rainwater into a central patio, symbolizing the traditional Chinese philosophical principle of unity between heaven and humanity. The design, created by Sun Xiang, draws inspiration from Nanjing's rich historical heritage as the capital of six dynasties and its distinctive Jiangnan residential architecture, incorporating modern interpretations of traditional elements through sophisticated material selection including metal grids with Chinese motifs, glass bricks, and carefully chosen stone textures. The space's dynamic interaction with natural light through strategically placed skylights creates ever-changing shadow patterns throughout the day, enhancing the sensory experience and spatial perception. The project's exceptional integration of cultural elements with contemporary design solutions, particularly evident in its sequential roofing technique inspired by Jiangnan houses, earned it the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to innovative spatial design and cultural preservation.
