Hongxinlong Tea Packaging

Hongxinlong Tea Packaging

Hongxinlong Tea Packaging is an innovative and culturally significant tea gift box design that masterfully integrates traditional Chinese character culture with contemporary packaging design principles. Created in 2022, this distinctive packaging solution features an ingenious paper pulp construction where tea leaves are precisely stamped into Chinese characters through a specialized membrane, creating a harmonious fusion of form and function. The cubic gift box, measuring 200mm in all dimensions, represents a sophisticated interpretation of Chinese synthesis characters, an art form dating back to the pre-Qin period that traditionally expressed auspicious wishes through combined character formations. The design's technical innovation lies in its precise engineering of tea-to-font stamping dies and careful weight calculation for each serving, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality. The packaging's interactive design allows users to access four tea cakes by removing a sealing strip, with each cake featuring indentations that enable users to break off character-shaped portions for brewing. This thoughtful integration of Chinese cultural elements with practical design earned the creation a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, recognizing its contribution to advancing packaging design through cultural preservation and innovative functionality. The design exemplifies how traditional cultural elements can be reimagined through modern packaging solutions, creating a meaningful connection between product presentation and cultural heritage.
