Hongshan Lake Civil Park Landscape
Hongshan Lake Civil Park Landscape is an exemplary urban public space development project located in Xixiu District, Anshun City, Guizhou Province, China, encompassing 149,901 square meters of thoughtfully designed ecological landscape. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project represents a sophisticated integration of ecological preservation and modern urban planning, employing Low Impact Development (LID) Strategy to maintain and enhance the site's natural ecosystem. The landscape architecture masterfully addresses complex topographical challenges, including a 16-meter vertical height variation, through innovative design solutions that incorporate rain gardens, detention basins, and grassed swales for effective water management. The park's design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious coexistence between human activity and natural systems, featuring naturally-planted revetments, water-affinity areas with wooden platforms, and diverse recreational spaces that cater to multiple age groups. The project, completed in September 2019, showcases advanced rainwater management through a four-tiered system: decentralized management, vegetation interception, soil infiltration, and strategic discharge measures. This comprehensive approach not only mitigates local climate challenges but also creates an integrated ecosystem that serves both environmental and social functions. The design demonstrates exceptional consideration for sustainability, incorporating non-powered recreational equipment and utilizing participatory, ground-based design techniques to create various functional spaces that promote community engagement while maintaining ecological integrity.
