HongKong Simple technology Limited Office is an award-winning interior design project completed in December 2016, showcasing a minimalist approach to contemporary workplace design within a 3,000-square-meter commercial space in Hong Kong's Shimen district. The design, conceptualized by Jingyi Cai and Yanhao Ma, demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of spatial dynamics through its innovative use of yellow and white color schemes, creating a harmonious balance between functional work areas and recreational spaces. The project's philosophical foundation rests on the principle of 'less is more,' emphasizing the removal of unnecessary elements while maintaining essential functionality. The design scheme employs a careful selection of materials including wood, metal, glass, and acrylic, with particular attention paid to material consistency in color matching to minimize visual disparities. Despite being situated in a premium commercial location, the design boldly allocates substantial space for leisure and relaxation areas, accommodating 40 employees rather than the initially proposed 80, prioritizing quality of work life over density. The space planning reflects deep research into workplace dynamics, incorporating elements that facilitate both focused work and creative collaboration. This approach earned the project a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its innovative solution to modern workplace challenges.
