Hong Kong Houseware Fair 2019 Installations
Hong Kong Houseware Fair 2019 Installations is an innovative event design project that transformed multiple spaces within the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category. The comprehensive installation encompassed three distinct yet conceptually unified areas: a prominent 30-square-meter welcome installation featuring a high-resolution LED screen, an exhibition hall entrance treatment, and a dedicated trend forecast display area. The design's primary objective was to elevate the fair's aesthetic presence while providing an immersive trend forecasting experience for visitors. The installation utilized sophisticated materials including reusable aluminum structural systems, LED stripe lighting, acrylic panels, and biodegradable carpeting, demonstrating a commitment to both visual impact and environmental consciousness. The project's innovative approach integrated industry trend research into its visual language, creating abstract interior settings through carefully selected colors, forms, and lighting elements. The trend forecast display area was particularly noteworthy for its curation of four distinct future trend categories, presented through a sophisticated visual merchandising technique that effectively communicated complex industry predictions to visitors. Despite the challenge of connecting physically separated spaces and a demanding three-day installation timeline, the design successfully maintained visual coherence through consistent design elements and materials, while the modular construction approach enabled efficient on-site assembly.
