Hong Hai Ju Plaza And SCPG Incity Mixed Use

Hong Hai Ju Plaza and SCPG Incity Mixed Use is a significant mixed-use architectural development located in the core business district of central Ji'nan, China, exemplifying innovative urban design principles that harmoniously blend historical preservation with contemporary functionality. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2019, encompasses a total site area of 59,100 square meters and integrates multiple functions including a shopping center, outdoor lifestyle district, office spaces, SOHO units, hotel accommodations, and residential apartments. The development's distinctive design philosophy centers on creating energetic urban public spaces with pedestrian-friendly scale while maintaining respect for the existing urban context. A notable feature is the thoughtfully designed northeast corner, which opens up to create a cultural plaza facing the historic Hongjialou Cathedral, with a renovated 100-year-old Sister House serving as its centerpiece. The complex incorporates 167,200 square meters of retail space, 90,300 square meters of office area, 66,400 square meters of SOHO space, and 21,300 square meters of hotel facilities. The architectural design successfully addresses the challenge of replacing existing street shops with a modern development while preserving the area's vibrant urban character. The project features multiple interconnected levels between indoor and outdoor shopping areas, creating a diverse and dynamic shopping experience. The building's exterior employs a sophisticated combination of stone and glass curtain wall systems, establishing a visual dialogue between contemporary architectural elements and the surrounding historical fabric. This transformative development has emerged as a vital urban destination and lifestyle hub, demonstrating exceptional achievement in architectural design, urban planning, and cultural preservation.
