Home Of Compassion Interior Design

Home of Compassion Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in 2015 in Nantou County, Taiwan, that exemplifies harmonious integration of natural elements with contemporary living spaces. The 446-square-meter residence, designed by Chien-Wei Lin and Vicky Wei, demonstrates a sophisticated approach to sustainable architecture through its incorporation of solar panels and environmental protection techniques. The design philosophy centers on intimacy with nature, evident in its north-south orientation that optimizes natural light and its extensive use of organic materials including camphorwood, marble, and indigenous stone. The project's distinctive features include a fortress-like rock wall construction that ensures privacy while maintaining optimal ventilation, a spacious 5-ping canopy serving dual purposes as parking and recreational space, and thoughtfully designed outdoor areas featuring a barbeque zone with stone furnishings and log tables. The interior spaces showcase a masterful blend of traditional and contemporary elements, with notable features including marble TV walls, jade flooring, and wooden grilles that create visual continuity between the main hall and worship room. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in residential design through its successful integration of indigenous cultural elements, sustainable technologies, and sophisticated space planning that promotes both functionality and aesthetic harmony.
