Home FT3 Single Family House

Home FT3 Single Family House is an exemplary contemporary residential architecture project located in Mogliano Veneto, Italy, that masterfully integrates sustainable design principles with modern living comfort. This sophisticated single-family residence, designed by Italian architect Filippo Caprioglio, features a distinctive L-shaped configuration with approximately 300 square meters of living space, where the kitchen serves as a pivotal architectural element functioning as the building's conceptual and physical fulcrum. The structure employs an innovative concrete skeleton framework that enables dramatic architectural features such as cantilevered overhangs and column-free corners, while its exterior is finished with insulated cladding and plaster, complemented by interior drywall systems. Distinguished by its clean compositional lines and geometric purity, the house incorporates advanced sustainable technologies, including geothermal systems and rainwater harvesting capabilities, demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility and energy efficiency. A defining characteristic of the design is its sophisticated manipulation of natural light, which shapes and animates the interior spaces throughout the day. The central area features a striking double-height space accentuated by an original light sculpture, while a architecturally significant staircase intersects with a suspended volume that appears to float above the ground. The seamless integration of an infinity pool as an architectural element creates a harmonious indoor-outdoor relationship, visible from various vantage points within the residence. This project, which was completed in June 2021 after a two-year construction period, received the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to contemporary residential architecture through its innovative use of space, sustainable features, and aesthetic excellence.
