holan Kitchen is an innovative architectural design concept that masterfully combines contrasting elements of natural and artificial materials in a contemporary kitchen setting. Created by Czech designer Luka Krizek, this distinctive kitchen installation features a sophisticated composition of two main elements: a rectangular backdrop covered in natural stone and a freestanding, organically shaped cooking island crafted from Corian, extending to an impressive length of 4.3 meters. The background section forms a striking monoblock, distinguished by the natural patterns and linearity of the stone surface, while the right side incorporates an ingeniously designed storage space accessible through sliding Corian doors. These doors feature a geometrically repeating pattern that, when closed, creates a plastic relief that harmoniously complements the stone backdrop. The frontal organic island stands in deliberate contrast to the substantial stone monoblock wall, presenting a light and dynamic aesthetic that challenges traditional kitchen design conventions. This juxtaposition of rectangular architecture with organic forms, completed in 2013 in Prague, represents a groundbreaking approach to kitchen design that earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category.
