Highpoint 66 Fashion Mall Shopping mall is an innovative underground retail complex that exemplifies contemporary experiential shopping design, combining leisure, art, food, entertainment, and social integration within a thoughtfully curated space. The mall, spanning 11,028 square meters with 2,783 square meters of public space and 6.5-meter ceiling heights, represents a paradigm shift in retail architecture through its focus on youth-oriented experiential design. Developed between July 2015 and April 2016, the project addresses modern retail challenges by creating an immersive environment that draws inspiration from popular culture, including anime, art, music, and cinema. The design philosophy embraces minimalist retro aesthetics as its foundation, utilizing basic materials such as cement, paint, and ceramic tiles, while incorporating sophisticated artistic installations and versatile display elements. The space features a ring-shaped circulation pattern accessible through four main entrances, facilitating intuitive navigation and exploration. Notable design elements include artistic installations, retro-styled lighting fixtures, glass sculptures, wooden art pieces, and interactive components such as graffiti walls and community art spaces. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in commercial space design through its adaptable framework that allows for regular updates and modifications, ensuring sustained relevance to its target demographic while maintaining operational efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
