Highlight Residence Residential Apartment

Highlight Residence Residential Apartment

Highlight Residence Residential Apartment is an innovative residential design project located on the 20th floor of a building in New Taipei City, exemplifying a harmonious blend of contemporary urban living with sustainable design principles. This distinguished interior space, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, features a sophisticated integration of natural and artificial elements through its three main windows that flood the living room, dining room, and studio with natural light. The apartment's most notable feature is its extensive balcony system, which spans the same size as the indoor space and offers a spectacular 270-degree view of the city skyline. The design philosophy emphasizes the seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, achieved through thoughtful material selection including stone, metal, and wood elements that flow throughout the interior. The balcony has been transformed into an urban greenhouse, hosting numerous plants that not only create a private natural sanctuary but also contribute to environmental sustainability by generating oxygen and helping to combat urban heat island effects. The interior design showcases a sophisticated gray color palette implemented at various scales, complemented by contrasting textures of stainless steel, wood, and marble. Innovative lighting solutions, including a 360-degree illumination system and strategically placed linear lighting, create distinct atmospheres while unifying different zones within the space. The apartment's layout encompasses a living room, dining room, three bedrooms, and an open kitchen, with particular attention paid to the horizontal marble step with linear lighting that serves both as a divider and connector between interior and exterior spaces. Completed in June 2022, this residential project demonstrates excellence in overcoming complex design challenges, including compliance with strict local building regulations and the successful integration of large-scale materials like stones and metals, which required special documentation and approval processes.
