Hezi Foot Massage

Hezi Foot Massage

Hezi Foot Massage is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional spa experience through architectural elements inspired by Greek island aesthetics, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The 1,100-square-meter facility, completed in December 2019 in Changzhou, China, features a distinctive design language centered around continuous classical arched structures that pay homage to Mediterranean architecture while incorporating organic elements inspired by island broadleaf trees and ocean waves. The space encompasses 29 treatment rooms, including 21 standard rooms and 8 specialized spa rooms, capable of accommodating 80 guests simultaneously, with the interior design maintaining a sophisticated balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal. The project's material palette combines frosted paint, broken-marble stone, and terrazzo to simulate coastal sandstone textures, creating an immersive environment that transports visitors from urban surroundings to a serene, vacation-like atmosphere. The design philosophy emphasizes slow life principles and natural elements, featuring pure white as the dominant color scheme to minimize visual noise and enhance the therapeutic environment. The space's architectural highlight is its thoughtfully considered ceiling heights, ranging from 3.55 to 4.18 meters, which work in harmony with the arched structures to create a sense of openness and tranquility. This sophisticated approach to wellness facility design demonstrates how architectural elements can be utilized to create a holistic healing environment that addresses both physical and psychological aspects of relaxation, while maintaining operational efficiency and cultural sensitivity.
