Herno Urban Lighting
Herno Urban Lighting is an innovative urban lighting solution that harmoniously integrates contemporary design with cultural elements, drawing inspiration from Tehran's architectural heritage and the iconic Azadi Tower. This sophisticated lighting system, designed by Mohsen Norouzy, represents a significant advancement in interactive urban illumination, featuring a distinctive dual-loop lighting structure that stands at 3000mm in height. The design incorporates both functional and aesthetic elements through its aluminum construction and advanced LED technology, utilizing 24 power LEDs (1W) with specialized lenses for primary illumination, complemented by RGB ribbon LEDs for ambient lighting. The system's unique interactive capabilities enable it to respond to human presence through embedded sensors, creating a dynamic lighting experience that transitions from cool to warm tones based on user proximity and duration of interaction. The design's name and concept draw from traditional Persian architecture, where Herno refers to historical ceiling-mounted light sources, while its contemporary interpretation serves both as functional street furniture and as a cultural touchpoint. This Silver A' Design Award-winning creation exemplifies the intersection of technological innovation and cultural preservation, featuring sophisticated electronic components housed within its base structure and utilizing mat polycarbonate diffusers to ensure uniform light distribution. The system's ability to automatically adjust its lighting intensity and color temperature creates an engaging urban experience that enhances public spaces while maintaining energy efficiency and environmental consciousness.
