The chair's distinctive feature lies in its ability to achieve gradient stiffness through a precise thermo-bonding process that leverages polyester's unique molecular structure, comprising 30% amorphous and 70% crystalline zones. Through an integrated computational and fabrication system, the design translates human ergonomic data into optimized form and material distribution patterns. The manufacturing process employs robotic folding and heating techniques to transform a continuous polyester sheet into a chair capable of supporting up to 180 kg loads from six different sitting directions.
