Healing In Nature Hospital
Healing in Nature Hospital is an innovative architectural healthcare facility that exemplifies the integration of nature-based healing principles with modern medical infrastructure, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design. This comprehensive medical complex, spanning 75,000 square meters with a 14-floor structure rising 58.30 meters, represents a pioneering approach to healthcare architecture by seamlessly blending therapeutic environments with functional medical spaces. The design philosophy centers on the concept of a garden hospital, incorporating three-dimensional greening through entrance courtyards, roof gardens, and façade vegetation to create a holistic healing environment. The facility's architectural composition thoughtfully responds to its subtropical setting, featuring climate-responsive elements such as specialized sunshade window frames and utilizing a sophisticated material palette of stone, glass, and wood. The hospital's design ingeniously addresses a 5-meter site elevation difference, transforming this topographical challenge into an opportunity for creating terraced landscape gardens that enhance the healing atmosphere. With a capacity of 200 beds, the facility integrates outpatient clinics, medical-technical departments, and hospitalization areas within a sophisticated layout that prioritizes efficient medical workflows while maintaining a strong connection to nature. The project, recognized by the A' Design Award for its exceptional architectural merit, demonstrates innovative solutions in healthcare design through its professional yet welcoming atmosphere, sustainable approach, and careful consideration of patient well-being through the strategic integration of natural elements throughout the complex.
