Hans Eichenberger

Hans Eichenberger was a Swiss artist who was born in 1898 in Zurich. He is most renowned for his landscape and mountain paintings, which were acclaimed for their bold use of color, light, and texture. He was also known for incorporating a symbolic language of his own design into his artwork. Eichenberger was a major figure in the German Expressionist movement of the early 20th century and was inspired by avant-garde artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. Among his most famous works are Primitive and Alpine Landscape from 1923, the Stone Man from 1943, and the painting Garden with Kissing Lovers from 1945.
