Hangzhou Eastern Garden Private Residence
Hangzhou Eastern Garden Private Residence is an exemplary architectural masterpiece located in Hangzhou, China, featuring a sophisticated 656.9-square-meter living space with a commanding 270-degree view of the Qiantang River. Completed in 2019 after a meticulous five-year design and construction period, this residential project stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of music and spatial design, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The residence's most distinctive feature is its private music room on the upper floor, which serves as the conceptual centerpiece of the entire project, incorporating specialized acoustic materials from Spain that combine superior sound performance with striking geometric aesthetics. The design overcame significant structural challenges by reimagining the original T-shaped shear wall and staircase configuration, transforming potential constraints into architectural highlights through innovative solutions such as a 6-meter decorative fish-belly white stone wall. The interior showcases an expertly curated selection of premium materials, including sequoia brown, titanium-coated stainless steel, eucalyptus wood, ebony, and ultra-clear glass, all of which contribute to the residence's refined aesthetic. A particularly noteworthy engineering achievement is the molding rotary ladder, supported by a single steel bone with metal discs at its base to ensure optimal load distribution and structural integrity. The design philosophy embraces the synthesis of Oriental and Modern characteristics, where carefully selected artworks and flowing lines create an organic whole that resonates with the musical inclinations of its owners, effectively establishing a symbiotic relationship between space and sound.
