H Space Office Interior Design
H Space Office Interior Design is an innovative architectural interior project completed in 2019, situated within a metal manufacturing facility in New Taipei City, Taiwan, that exemplifies sustainable design principles through its ingenious use of modular H-beam steel construction and metal warehouse panels. This 148-square-meter office space, designed by Chien Ming Lai and Jyun Ru Chen, represents a groundbreaking approach to industrial office design by incorporating the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle while maintaining aesthetic appeal and functionality. The design's distinctive feature lies in its adaptable construction methodology, utilizing reusable materials that enable the entire office structure to be relocated if necessary, thereby minimizing environmental impact and resource waste. The warm, bright yellow coloring of the H-beam steel elements serves as a symbolic reference to overhead traveling cranes commonly found in manufacturing environments, creating a visual connection to the industrial context while simultaneously providing a comfortable, contemporary workspace. The spatial organization is thoughtfully divided between upper and lower floors, with carefully positioned doors, windows, granite stairs, and metal handrails that optimize workflow and functionality. This innovative approach to industrial office design earned recognition from the A' Design Award, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to sustainable architectural solutions and innovative space utilization.
