H I I T Training Center is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional fitness facility concept through a sophisticated blend of Roman architectural influences and contemporary industrial aesthetics. The space, designed by Hihope Zhu and completed in 2019, represents a significant advancement in commercial fitness center design, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The facility's layout employs an intensive and flowing integration approach, strategically dividing spaces through ingenious virtual and real partitioning methods that optimize functionality while maintaining visual connectivity. The design's core concept draws inspiration from the Roman Colosseum, metaphorically representing personal challenge and competitive spirit in a modern context. The space features a ceremonial walkway that serves as the main axis, providing access to various functional areas including a water bar, leisure zones, classrooms, changing facilities, physical examination rooms, gymnastics spaces, and VIP sections. The material palette combines raw industrial elements such as metal and stone, while the interplay between curved and straight lines creates a dynamic visual narrative throughout the space. The design successfully addresses contemporary health industry demands while incorporating elements of street culture and urban living, demonstrated through its smooth lines and steady textures that reflect modern aesthetic sensibilities. This innovative approach to fitness center design, recognized by the A' Design Award, showcases how thoughtful interior architecture can enhance the user experience while maintaining operational efficiency and spatial optimization.
