Gum Arabic
Gum Arabic (also known as Acacia Gum) is a resinous material derived from the sap of Acacia trees. It has a range of uses in graphics design, where it is often utilized as an adhesive for bookbinding and in lamination processes. Its unique properties, such as acid-free composition, flexibility and bonding strength, make it a great option in the printing and graphic design industries. Gum Arabic may also be used as a binder, in the form of a solution or powder, for the manufacture of matte finishes of photo prints and other kinds of artwork. Additionally, it is often employed in the creation of water-based paints and in the production of permanent marker pens. Its low viscosity and excellent solubility make Gum Arabic a valuable addition to any graphics design project.
