Guiyang Private Residence
Guiyang Private Residence is an exemplary lakeside villa that masterfully integrates Italian-style modern minimalism with contemporary geometric design languages, completed in December 2021 in Guiyang, China. This architectural masterpiece encompasses an 800-square-meter interior space complemented by a 500-square-meter outdoor garden, distributed across four meticulously planned floors. The residence showcases an innovative spatial organization that harmoniously blends functionality with artistic expression, featuring a double-height living room adorned with simplistic carved lines and soft tones, while vertical elements enhance spatial depth perception. The design's distinctive features include a brass grille staircase connecting the underground space to upper levels, organic wall patterns, and thoughtfully curated art installations that complement the natural grain of carpets and marble flooring. The project demonstrates exceptional attention to circulation patterns, incorporating two non-interfering routes: a housework circulation connecting utility spaces and a living circulation linking leisure areas. The underground level houses a Chinese kitchen and dining room, while the space optimization extends to an immersive home theater and flexible leisure areas. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category stands out for its sustainable design approach, environment-friendly furniture selection, and the successful integration of urban naturalism with contemporary geometric languages. The residence's design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious relationship between nature, life, and human habitation, particularly evident in the atrium's enhanced daylighting and ventilation systems that foster a stronger connection between occupants and their natural surroundings.
