Guangzhou Poly Longyue Sales Center is an innovative architectural interior space project located south of the Tropic of Cancer in Guangzhou, China, distinguished by its masterful integration of natural and artificial light through geometric design principles. Completed in November 2021, this 690-square-meter space with a 5-meter floor height represents a sophisticated approach to commercial interior design that harmoniously blends environmental elements with architectural aesthetics. The design, conceived by Andy Leung and his team, draws inspiration from the abundant sunlight characteristic of its geographical location, employing a series of precisely calculated facade perforations that create an intricate interplay of light and shadow throughout the space. The interior features a remarkable installation comprising over 18,000 acrylic sticks, which produces dynamic color variations through light refraction, while the strategic use of ivory white surfaces enhances the elegant atmosphere. The project's material palette combines transparent, translucent, and opaque materials, including color gradient acrylic, stained glass, and glass brick, requiring meticulous installation techniques to achieve seamless transparency effects. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional approach to spatial design and innovative use of materials.
