Good Night Show King Maker

Good Night Show King Maker

Good Night Show King Maker is an innovative stage and set design project created for a large-scale talent competition program, conceived and executed by designer Hui Chi Ho Howard and team. The design showcases a sophisticated fusion of cybertecture and space capsule aesthetics, drawing inspiration from futuristic urban landscapes. The 500-square-meter installation features a multi-level platform system capable of accommodating 100 performers simultaneously, incorporating advanced technical elements such as 360-degree revolving platforms for contestant entry and exit points. The structure employs a combination of stainless steel and fireproofing plate construction, complemented by mat glass panels and wooden platforms, creating a dynamic performance environment. Distinguished by its cutting-edge lighting effects and architectural complexity, the design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design category, acknowledging its technical proficiency and innovative approach to performance space design. The project, completed over nine months at Shaw studios in Hong Kong, represents a significant advancement in television production set design, particularly in its ability to facilitate both live performance and broadcast requirements while maintaining a cohesive futuristic aesthetic. The design's integration of multiple viewing angles and sophisticated staging elements creates an immersive environment that enhances the production value of the talent show format, demonstrating excellence in spatial design, technical innovation, and creative vision.
