Good Morning Original Calendar 2011 - Zoo Calendar
good morning original calendar 2011 - Zoo Calendar is an innovative paper craft calendar design that seamlessly combines functionality with interactive entertainment. Created by art director Katsumi Tamura and a talented team of designers including Hiroyuki Fukazu, Kohei Miyasaka, and Takahiro Sugawara, this unique calendar concept features six distinct animal-themed designs, each representing two months of the year. The calendar, measuring 210mm x 297mm, demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship through its ingenious assembly mechanism that requires no glue or scissors, utilizing a precise tab-and-slot system where matching marks guide users through the construction process. Launched in July 2010, this creative calendar design revolutionizes the traditional wall calendar format by transforming flat sheets into three-dimensional animal sculptures that serve both decorative and practical purposes. The project, which earned the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, exemplifies excellence in visual impact, technical innovation, and user engagement. The design's success lies in its ability to transform the mundane task of tracking dates into an engaging, interactive experience while maintaining professional aesthetics and practical functionality. The calendar's innovative approach to combining paper engineering with time management demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of both form and function, creating an engaging user experience that extends beyond mere date reference to become a displayable art piece.
