Good Design Trophy Trophy

Good Design Trophy Trophy

Good Design Trophy Trophy is an innovative conceptual design project that embodies the essence of Korean design philosophy through a symbolic representation of passion, commitment, and collective happiness. Created by designer Juseok Park in 2009, this trophy design masterfully combines aesthetic appeal with functional considerations, featuring a distinctive motif that incorporates the concept of design + smile as its central theme. The trophy, measuring 8.7cm in width, 4.0cm in depth, and 8.7cm in height, is crafted through precise stainless steel cutting and casting techniques, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. This conceptual design piece serves as a representative award for Korean design excellence, effectively communicating the joy and positive impact of good design through its form and symbolism. The project, which was developed between September and December 2009, successfully merges decorative elements with practical functionality, creating a meaningful artifact that celebrates design achievement. The trophy's design philosophy emphasizes the emotional and human aspects of design, suggesting that successful design journeys begin with passion, are sustained through commitment, and ultimately result in collective satisfaction. This innovative concept earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing design thinking and cultural representation. The trophy stands as a testament to the power of conceptual design in creating meaningful symbols that transcend mere functionality to embody cultural values and design excellence.
