Golden Year Wheel Residence

Golden Year Wheel Residence

Golden Year Wheel Residence is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in Taiwan in 2023, showcasing a sophisticated approach to spatial transformation and material harmony. This 235-square-meter pre-owned apartment renovation demonstrates exceptional expertise in creating transitional spaces through thoughtful architectural interventions and material selections. The design philosophy centers on creating a vacation-like sanctuary, employing curved elements and warm lighting to achieve a seamless flow between spaces. The project's distinctive features include arc-shaped walls crafted from precisely laminated 3cm slab tiles, creating fluid, stream-like patterns that enhance spatial continuity. The interior employs a carefully curated palette of materials, including natural wood grain, architectural concrete, and eco-friendly finishes, while incorporating vibrant blue-green accents as biophilic elements. The layout was completely reconfigured to accommodate four bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room, with particular attention paid to the public areas where a innovative TV wall design combines glass, latticework, and perforated plates to maintain visual connectivity. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design, exemplifies excellence in overcoming significant renovation challenges, transforming a deteriorated space into a harmonious living environment that prioritizes both aesthetic refinement and functional efficiency. The design's success lies in its ability to create distinct yet cohesive spaces that facilitate relaxation and family bonding, while maintaining a sophisticated balance between luxury and comfort through its thoughtful implementation of curves, lighting, and material transitions.
