Globe Floor Lamp
Globe Floor Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture designed by Italian designer Edoardo Colzani that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary lighting design. The distinctive design originates from a spherical concept, uniquely reimagined through precise upper and lower sectioning to create a sophisticated lampshade that efficiently distributes light in both upward and downward directions. This floor lamp, standing at 1800mm in height with a 600mm width and depth, showcases exceptional craftsmanship through its seamless construction, featuring a lampshade crafted from a single piece of metal without welding joints—an engineering achievement that required a year of research and development to perfect. The lamp's sophisticated design incorporates an adjustable LED lighting system and rotating lampshade, offering users remarkable flexibility in light direction and intensity. Available in refined finishes including satin copper and black iron Cenere, or with a contrasting interior-exterior treatment combining satin copper inside with black lacquered exterior, the lamp demonstrates meticulous attention to material selection and finishing details. The design, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a significant innovation in lighting design through its unique manufacturing process utilizing turning technique and laser cutting to achieve its distinctive form. The lamp's technical sophistication is complemented by its minimalist aesthetic approach, creating a striking visual presence while maintaining functional versatility for various interior environments.
