This ultra-lightweight eyewear design, weighing less than one gram, is crafted from high-quality copolyester material and features remarkably compact dimensions of 78mm x 21mm x 1mm, making it smaller than a standard credit card. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Jewelry Design category, incorporates several ingenious features that address common challenges in portable eyewear. The glasses feature a unique three-point support system on the bridge, utilizing specially designed knobs that ensure stable positioning and comfortable wear across various nose shapes and sizes. The innovative elastic arch design allows for universal fit without causing pressure points or discomfort, while the minimalist form factor enables the glasses to be stored conveniently in a wallet, used as a bookmark, or carried in a phone case. Developed through extensive research and prototyping, including the creation of multiple molds to achieve optimal optical quality, these reading glasses are available in three different diopter strengths: +1.5, +2.0, and +2.5. The design process, which spanned from 2014 to 2016 in Estonia, involved careful consideration of ergonomic factors and user needs, resulting in a product that effectively balances functionality with portability.
