Gladiator Napkin Holder

Gladiator Napkin Holder

Gladiator Napkin holder is an innovative and artistically crafted tableware accessory that reimagines the conventional napkin holder through the symbolic representation of a warrior's mask, designed by Turkish designer Elkan Nuri. This distinctive piece, crafted from 1.5mm copper sheet metal, masterfully combines functionality with artistic expression through its thoughtful construction that features a crown-like upper section where napkins are placed, creating an elegant display while ensuring practical accessibility. The design's dimensions of 38mm width, 120mm depth, and 95mm height are carefully calculated to maintain both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency. The holder's unique structural elements include a stabilizing front section that keeps napkins properly aligned, an elevated base that prevents direct contact with the table surface, and a strategic rear protrusion that secures napkins during movement or when supplies are low. What makes this design particularly noteworthy is its intentional embrace of handcrafted imperfections, which contribute to its authentic character and resonate with its warrior-inspired theme. The piece, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, represents a philosophical approach to design where personal resilience and honor are materialized through functional art. The manufacturing process combines modern laser cutting technology with traditional handmade bending techniques, resulting in a product that serves both as a practical tableware accessory and a meaningful decorative element that transforms the dining experience through its symbolic presence and artistic merit.
