Gentleness Residential House

Gentleness Residential House

Gentleness Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in 2023, encompassing 105 square meters of living space in Taipei, Taiwan. The design philosophy centers on the metaphorical concept of a hug, manifested through thoughtfully curved architectural elements and a harmonious material palette that creates a welcoming, nurturing environment for its multi-generational inhabitants. The interior architecture demonstrates exceptional consideration for both aesthetics and functionality, featuring arc-shaped designs that not only reduce visual tension but also enhance safety for family members of varying ages. The space planning incorporates a sophisticated material selection, including light-colored veneers, marble, Titanium-plated stainless steel, grey iron mirror, and German mineral paint, all orchestrated to achieve a modern yet warm atmosphere. The layout efficiently divides public and private zones, with particular emphasis on the dining area as a central focal point, enhanced by statement lighting. The project, which won an Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design, showcases innovative solutions for multi-generational living, addressing specific challenges such as age-related vision considerations through carefully planned lighting design. The low-saturation color scheme and curved architectural elements create a serene, protective atmosphere that effectively reduces environmental stress while maintaining elegant sophistication throughout the space.
