Gel Nail Polish
Gel nail polish is a type of nail polish that is cured under a UV or LED lamp to create a long-lasting and durable manicure. Unlike traditional nail polish, gel polish is made with a special formula that includes a combination of liquid monomers and polymers that harden when exposed to light. This curing process creates a tough and resilient layer of color on the nails that can last up to two weeks without chipping or peeling. Gel nail polish is applied in a similar way to regular nail polish, but it requires a few extra steps. First, the nails are cleaned and prepped to ensure that the polish adheres properly. Then, a base coat of gel polish is applied and cured under the lamp. Next, one or two coats of color are applied and cured under the lamp between each coat. Finally, a top coat is applied and cured to seal in the color and add shine. One of the main benefits of gel nail polish is its longevity. It is ideal for people who want a long-lasting manicure that won't chip or peel easily. Additionally, gel polish is available in a wide range of colors and finishes, from glossy to matte. However, it is important to note that the curing process can be damaging to the nails if done too frequently or improperly. It is recommended to give the nails a break between gel manicures to allow them to recover.
