Gapi Food and Beverage Villa is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in Casablanca, exemplifying contemporary design principles through its unique interpretation of pastry packaging aesthetics. This remarkable three-story structure, completed in 2015, encompasses a total gross floor area of 950 square meters and stands as a testament to advanced architectural innovation in commercial spaces. The building's distinctive design features a revolutionary double-skin facade system, crafted from thermoformable synthetic marble (Krion), which creates an intense white, translucent envelope around the structure. The facade's horizontal blades, which rotate 90 degrees based on privacy requirements and solar orientation, represent a sophisticated interpretation of pastry box ribbons, merging functional necessity with aesthetic appeal. The facility houses a comprehensive gastronomic experience, with a large catering kitchen in the basement, a pastry shop and tea room at ground level, and an upscale restaurant on the first floor. The building's innovative facade system, designed by architect Lotfi Sidirahal, incorporates approximately one hundred LED ribbons that create dynamic lighting scenarios during nighttime, transforming the structure into a luminous architectural spectacle. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional technical achievement through its unique facade construction, utilizing two distinct Krion modules - straight and twisted - each measuring 1200mm x 250mm, connected via specially designed stainless steel compass fixtures. This architectural solution not only provides effective solar protection for the glazed interior spaces but also creates a compelling visual narrative that reflects the building's culinary purpose while advancing contemporary architectural discourse.
