Furmint Vodka Beverage Packaging is an innovative and artisanal spirits packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of contemporary aesthetics and functional elegance. Created by Hungarian designer Peter Morvai in collaboration with art directors László Ördögh and Dávid Drozsnyik, this sophisticated packaging solution was developed to showcase a premium grape-based vodka produced in limited quantities of 800-1000 bottles annually. The design's distinguishing feature lies in its masterful integration of clean typography on the front label combined with a meticulously screened bottle illustration that evokes a grape leaf motif in a modern interpretation. Standing at 340mm in height and 80mm in width, the packaging employs offset-printed labels and screen-printing techniques to achieve its refined appearance. A particularly ingenious aspect of the design is its consideration of the liquid's lens effect, where the vodka-filled bottle creates an engaging visual distortion of the fine details in the screening, adding an interactive dimension to the user experience. The design successfully balances minimalist elegance with brand storytelling, reflecting both the purity of the vodka and its unique grape-based origin. This exceptional packaging design has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to the field of beverage packaging design.
