Fun With Colors Interior Design

Fun With Colors Interior Design

Fun with Colors Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the sophisticated use of color psychology and spatial arrangement to create distinct atmospheric experiences throughout a 150-square-meter living space. Created by designers Yuan-Ting Chuang and Jui-Wen Cheng, this design masterfully employs contrasting color schemes and carefully selected construction materials to establish unique themes in different areas of the residence. The entrance features a partially public porch adorned with dark stone planks, short wooden walls, and strategic mirror placement, creating an unobstructed visual flow into the living room. The living room showcases a harmonious balance of orange, white, and black elements, where orange symbolizes abundance and prosperity, while its combination with white creates a glorious atmosphere and with black produces an elegant ambiance. The dining area utilizes blue and white tones to evoke the tranquility of the sky, enhanced by a statement chandelier that adds vitality to the space. The main bedroom incorporates black and white wallpapers to convey mental stillness and grand generosity, complemented by an orange headboard that introduces warmth and visual focus. The children's room features yellow elements, traditionally associated with happiness and strength, accompanied by juvenile artwork and vibrant wallpapers that enliven the space. This thoughtfully executed design, completed in May 2017 in Tainan City, Taiwan, received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design and innovative use of color theory.
