Fuji Flower Coffee Shop
Fuji Flower Coffee Shop is an innovative retail and hospitality concept space that harmoniously integrates a coffee shop with floral design elements, created by designer Wang YuHan. This Silver A' Design Award-winning establishment, completed in December 2016 in Taipei, represents a pioneering approach to experiential retail design through its unique combination of botanical and culinary elements. The architectural centerpiece of the space features a distinctive tunnel-like entrance pathway adorned with seasonal flowers, creating an immersive transition from the urban environment into a greenhouse-inspired sanctuary. The interior spans impressive dimensions of 17,545mm width, 5,057mm depth, and 3,800mm height, incorporating sophisticated technical systems including automated spraying mechanisms, advanced sewerage infrastructure, and environmental monitoring sensors for maintaining optimal plant conditions. The design employs a thoughtful material palette of recycled wood, black painted steel, grey glass, and epoxy finishes, while the innovative wall system features both transparent and reflective grey glass elements that create subtle spatial divisions without compromising visual continuity. The establishment transcends traditional retail boundaries by offering not only beverages and floral arrangements but also educational programming through floral design lectures, embodying a holistic approach to lifestyle enhancement. The sophisticated infrastructure includes specially designed steel flowerpots with integrated drainage solutions, demonstrating meticulous attention to both aesthetic and functional requirements. This multifunctional space, recognized in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award category, exemplifies excellence in combining commercial functionality with biophilic design principles, creating an urban oasis that promotes a slower, more contemplative lifestyle amidst the fast-paced city environment.
