Fuhome Residential House

Fuhome Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project located in Hung Hom, encompassing a spacious 2,228 square feet of thoughtfully crafted living space. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully combines warehouse-inspired aesthetics with modern living requirements. Created by chief designer Jan Ham and team, the project features distinctive elements such as cement board TV walls, whitewashed red brick walls, and repurposed boat wood decorative cabinets that pay homage to industrial aesthetics while maintaining contemporary functionality. The layout ingeniously incorporates four bedrooms, six rooms, two kitchens, and four bathrooms, with particular attention paid to specialized spaces including an open kitchen, playroom, laundry room, and shared children's rooms. Notable design solutions include the innovative use of iron mesh glass black frame sliding doors in the open kitchen to address cooking ventilation concerns, while maintaining the industrial aesthetic. The project, completed between October 2020 and February 2021, demonstrates exceptional space optimization through its mirror-like layout configuration and adaptable living areas. Professional elements were integrated through the use of air freight containers and black and white flags, reflecting the occupants' professional background, while sliding door systems were strategically implemented to enhance spatial flexibility and functionality, particularly in the children's shared spaces and master bathroom access.
