Fragrance Turkish Coffee Maker With Grinder

Fragrance Turkish Coffee Maker With Grinder

Fragrance Turkish Coffee Maker With Grinder is an innovative electronic coffee preparation device that combines traditional Turkish coffee brewing methods with modern technological features, designed by Etem Deniz Temucin. Distinguished by its distinctive hourglass form, this appliance seamlessly integrates a built-in grinder with a brewing mechanism, specifically engineered to preserve and enhance the authentic Turkish coffee experience. The device's sophisticated design allows for three adjustable cooking parameters: brewing time for controlling coffee strength, granule size customization for various unfiltered coffee styles beyond Turkish coffee, and serving size selection. These settings can be stored in three distinct user profiles, enabling multiple users to maintain their preferred brewing configurations. The product, standing at 330mm in height with a maximum radius of 86mm, represents a thoughtful fusion of orientalist and Bauhaus design philosophies, making it accessible to both traditional Turkish coffee enthusiasts and contemporary consumers. The integrated grinding mechanism maintains the cultural significance of freshly ground coffee beans, a crucial aspect of Turkish coffee tradition where the aromatic grinding process traditionally serves as a social catalyst in neighborhoods. This cultural preservation aspect, combined with its modern functionality, earned the design an Iron A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category, recognizing its contribution to preserving and globalizing Turkish coffee culture while incorporating innovative features for contemporary users. The device's development, completed in Istanbul in 2015, demonstrates a successful integration of traditional coffee preparation methods with modern technological conveniences, offering a solution for those seeking authentic Turkish coffee experiences without access to traditionally ground coffee.
