Forest Library Interior Design

Forest Library Interior Design

Forest Library Interior Design is an innovative architectural interior concept that harmoniously integrates natural elements with functional workspace design, exemplified by a notable 76-square-meter office space located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Created by designer Yi-Lun Hsu in 2019, this design solution masterfully addresses the challenges of limited space while prioritizing the connection between human occupants and nature. The design's distinguishing features include strategically placed workstations along large windows, maximizing natural light exposure and providing panoramic views for all employees. The space incorporates floor-to-ceiling wooden bookshelves housing hundreds of design books, materials, and artwork, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a forest sanctuary within an urban setting. Notable design elements include a clear glass-partitioned meeting room that maintains spatial openness, cement ceiling treatments integrated with a signature logo wall, and thoughtfully positioned hanging green plants that enhance the biophilic design approach. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, demonstrates exceptional space optimization through clever storage solutions, including hidden storage rooms flanking the entrance. The design successfully achieves its primary objective of creating a harmonious relationship between humans and nature while maintaining functionality as a professional workspace, effectively combining aesthetic appeal with practical considerations for a contemporary design office environment.
