Fokus Desk Home Office Desk
Fokus Desk Home Office Desk is an innovative furniture design solution created to enhance productivity and organization in home office environments. This ergonomically designed workspace, conceived by Singaporean designer Muhamad Zulkifie, represents a thoughtful response to the evolving needs of remote workers and entrepreneurs. The desk's distinctive design features a welcoming aesthetic characterized by angled legs and chamfered table tops, inspired by the gesture of invitation. Measuring 1450mm in length, 750mm in breadth, and 1200mm in height, the desk incorporates sophisticated organizational elements including a T-shaped cable management slot, a super-slim drawer system, dedicated power bar storage, and six integrated under-desk compartments. The design employs premium materials, combining Dupont Corian for the table top and storage components with maple wood veneer-finished plywood for the main frame and support structure. A notable innovation is its adaptable configuration, featuring a unique flap mechanism that adjusts laptop height for video conferencing, complemented by a specialized C-catch system and rotational support legs that facilitate both stability and mobility. The desk's thoughtful engineering extends to its environmental considerations, utilizing only two primary materials to simplify eventual recycling processes. This design excellence was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing home office furniture design through its focus on user interaction, practical functionality, and sustainable manufacturing principles.
