Flow Reef Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural coastal elements with contemporary living spaces. Located in Rimini, this 148.7-square-meter apartment's design draws profound inspiration from the natural scenery of green coral formations along coastlines, translating their temporal transformation from gray to green into a sophisticated interior narrative. The design methodology employs a thoughtful division between social and private areas, utilizing material transitions from marble to solid wood flooring to create implicit spatial boundaries. The project's aesthetic foundation is built upon low-saturation dark materials that symbolize shoreline elements such as rocks, vegetation, and gravel, while incorporating the structural patterns of green coral to establish a coherent planar order and human scale. The interior features an innovative open plan that maximizes comfort and circulation, with curved ceiling elements and indirect lighting strips creating a fluid, wave-like atmosphere. The material palette includes Italian mineral paint, natural wood veneer, stained glass, and eco-friendly panels, all selected to reinforce the concepts of sustainability and environmental protection.
