Flow Optimization

Flow Optimization is a process in parametric design where designers use adjustable rules to help things like air, water, or people move smoothly through a space or object. By setting up simple instructions in design software, designers can quickly see how small changes affect the way things flow. This way, they can test many options in a short time and pick the one that lets movement happen with the least effort or waste. For example, in architecture, this method can help shape a building so wind moves around it easily, or in product design, it can help shape a bottle so liquid pours out smoothly. Using parametric tools, designers can set goals, like reducing drag or making paths shorter, and let the computer suggest shapes that meet those goals.
