Fling Sticker Set

Fling Sticker Set

Fling Sticker set is an innovative digital communication tool comprising 29 custom-designed animated stickers created to enhance social media interaction through expressive visual elements. Developed in London between August and October 2015, this comprehensive sticker collection represents a sophisticated approach to digital emotional expression, with each character sequence carefully crafted to depict relatable emotions within a precise 250 x 250 pixel bounding box format. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates exceptional technical prowess in maintaining minimal frame counts while maximizing emotional impact. Drawing inspiration from anime's expressive characteristics and contemporary digital communication patterns, the sticker set incorporates playful exaggeration of expressions and emotions to facilitate more engaging user interactions. The project, led by designer Steve Roberts with animation by Pierre Joshua, involved extensive research into user behavior patterns and existing emoticon usage, resulting in a cohesive collection that effectively bridges the gap between traditional text-based communication and rich visual expression. Each sticker was meticulously designed to optimize file size while maintaining visual clarity and emotional resonance, showcasing an innovative approach to digital asset creation. The set's distinctive aesthetic and functional design make it a significant contribution to the evolution of digital communication tools, exemplifying how thoughtful design can enhance user engagement and emotional connection in social media platforms.
