Flavour Funhouse Underground Shopping Mall is an innovative underground retail space that exemplifies contemporary luxury retail design through its sophisticated integration of art, commerce, and architectural elements. Drawing inspiration from Northern Italian Galleria architecture, particularly the 19th-century iron and glass structures, this basement-level shopping destination masterfully balances historical homage with modern aesthetics. The space features a striking high black metallic ceiling with diamond-shaped patterns created by metal grid structures that house lighting and decorative elements, effectively overcoming the typical constraints of underground architecture. Three distinct floor tile designs, including hexagonal patterns that echo Italian design sensibilities, create natural zoning throughout the space. The mall's unified aesthetic is achieved through consistent black grid sliding doors for all retail units, creating a cohesive and timeless atmosphere while allowing individual brand expression. The food court, occupying approximately half of the B2 level, introduces an innovative approach to dining spaces with thoughtfully designed seating arrangements that cater to various group sizes, from individual diners to large families. The design incorporates structural pillars as bar seating, scattered four-person tables, and communal wooden tables, creating a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere. Spanning 0.8 million square feet, the space employs warm, subtle lighting to create an intimate ambiance while highlighting retail frontages.
