Film-strips
Film-strips are a form of visual media that were widely used in the past for educational and instructional purposes. A film-strip is essentially a series of still images that are arranged in a sequence and presented in a linear fashion. Each image is typically accompanied by an audio recording or narration, which provides additional information or context about the content being presented. Film-strips were first introduced in the early 20th century and quickly became a popular tool for educators and trainers. They were used to teach a wide variety of subjects, from science and history to language and literature. Film-strips were particularly useful for teaching complex or abstract concepts, as they allowed educators to break down information into smaller, more manageable parts. One of the main advantages of film-strips was their portability. They were lightweight and easy to transport, making them ideal for use in classrooms, libraries, and other educational settings. Additionally, film-strips were relatively inexpensive to produce, which made them accessible to a wide range of organizations and institutions. Despite their popularity, film-strips eventually fell out of favor as newer technologies, such as video and digital media, emerged. Today, film-strips are largely viewed as a relic of the past, but they remain an important part of the history of educational media.
