Fiber Paper

Fiber paper, also known as ceramic fiber paper, is a type of insulation material made from ceramic fibers. It is a lightweight and flexible material that is commonly used in high-temperature applications where traditional insulation materials such as fiberglass or mineral wool cannot withstand the extreme temperatures. Fiber paper is made by processing ceramic fibers into a thin, flexible sheet through a process of wet forming, vacuum filtration, and drying. Fiber paper is commonly used in a variety of industrial applications, including furnace and kiln linings, gasketing, and insulation for high-temperature equipment. It is also used in the automotive industry for exhaust system insulation and in the aerospace industry for thermal protection on re-entry vehicles. Fiber paper is known for its excellent thermal insulation properties, low thermal conductivity, and resistance to thermal shock. One of the advantages of fiber paper is its flexibility, which allows it to conform to irregular shapes and surfaces. It is also easy to cut and shape, making it a versatile material for a variety of applications. Fiber paper is available in a range of thicknesses and densities to meet the specific needs of different applications. Despite its many advantages, fiber paper does have some limitations. It is not suitable for use in applications where it will be exposed to moisture or chemicals, as it is not resistant to these substances. It is also a relatively expensive material compared to other types of insulation.
