Feminist
Feminism is a social and political movement that advocates for the equal rights and opportunities of women, as well as the dismantling of patriarchal systems of power and oppression. Feminists recognize that gender inequality is pervasive in society, and seek to address this through activism, advocacy, and education. Feminism is not a monolithic movement, and there are many different schools of thought within it, each with its own priorities and goals. However, all feminists share a commitment to challenging gender-based discrimination and promoting gender equality. One key aspect of feminism is the recognition that gender is a social construct, rather than a biological given. Feminists argue that gender roles and expectations are imposed on individuals by society, and that these roles and expectations are often limiting and harmful. Feminists seek to challenge and disrupt these gender norms, and to create a world in which individuals are free to express themselves and pursue their goals without being constrained by their gender. Another important aspect of feminism is intersectionality. Feminists recognize that gender inequality intersects with other forms of oppression, such as racism, classism, ableism, and homophobia. Intersectional feminism seeks to address these multiple forms of oppression simultaneously, recognizing that individuals may experience different forms of oppression depending on their identities and social positions. Feminism has had a profound impact on society, leading to changes in laws, policies, and cultural norms. However, there is still much work to be done to achieve gender equality. Feminists continue to advocate for reproductive rights, equal pay, an end to gender-based violence, and other issues that affect women and gender minorities.

Feminist
The term Feminist is a relatively modern derivation from the Latin word 'fēmina' which translates as woman. Feminist, however, has come to refer to a much wider and versatile range of meanings than the original Latin definition. The term is generally attributed to the late 19th century, emerging in the discourse of the French Revolution in 1791 and gaining momentum in the suffrage movement of the early 20th century. Feminist has since become a term of advocacy for the rights of women, incorporating the idea of equality amongst genders and the recognition of economic, social and political inequality. From a linguistic standpoint, the term has relevance in morphology, denoting the changes in gender and the shift from a masculine to a more inclusive and inclusive-inclusive orientation. Additionally, feminist discourse has been instrumental in the formation of new ways of expressing gender and identity, such as the increasing use of the pronoun ‘they’ as a gender-neutral term. From a pragmatic perspective, feminist discourse has been central to new political movements and the articulation of larger social justice causes.
