FDM Printing
FDM Printing is a method in additive manufacturing where a heated nozzle moves in a pattern to lay down melted plastic, building objects layer by layer from the bottom up. Designers can use FDM Printing to make parts with hollow spaces inside, which helps save material and makes objects lighter. This method allows for combining different colors or types of plastic in a single print, which can help with making models that show how a product will look or work. FDM Printing can use recycled plastic, which helps reduce waste and supports sustainable design. Some FDM printers can pause and restart, so designers can add parts or change materials during the process, opening new ways to create unique objects.
