Facial Rigging
Facial Rigging is a process in character art where digital artists create a system of controls for moving and shaping a character's face, making it possible to show many emotions and speech movements. In character art, designers often use a combination of simple shapes, called blendshapes, and bone structures to move parts of the face like the eyebrows, eyelids, and mouth. This system helps artists animate faces in a way that looks natural and matches the style of the character. Designers can use facial rigging to quickly test different expressions and make changes without having to redraw or remodel the face each time, which saves time and helps keep the character's look consistent across different scenes.
